| Located in Santiago de Compostela and created to become an important cultural centre dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and contemporary creativity, Galicia’s City of Culture was conceived as a place to bring together the past and future, allowing Galicia to become a strategic player in developing culture int he region. After ten years of intense and rich debate, the building has continued, and finally the City of Culture was opened. The library and archive were inaugurated by the Spanish Princes on the symbolic date of January 11th 2011. This opening constitutes a new stage in which the project has been given life. The complex has already received thousands of visits. |
